How often do you wash your pet’s bedding? How often do you think it should be cleaned?

I wash Duke and Tia’s bedding every 1-2 weeks. Since they are outside often and both have thick coats that continuously shed, it is important to keep up with cleaning. In between cleaning bedding in the washing machine, the beds get vacuumed daily as well.

Have you ever heard of laundry stripping? It is a method of cleaning that removes laundry detergent, fabric softener and body oil residue. You can strip just about anything. Pet bedding, bed sheets, clothing, pillows, you name it. This can be done 1-3 times a year.

This has to be one of the most satisfying things to do. It is amazing how dirty items really are still, even after going through the wash. I mean look at that!
